Armored Ambulance

Armored Ambulance is designed in order to use in case there is a need help for the injured and diseased people in the conflict areas. It can be armored with Br7 or Br6.

The ambulances, which will be used for transformation, can be 4×4 and 4×2. The ambulances’ left side, right side, and the ceiling are armored. Also, there is an additional floor covering for handmade explosives and military mines.

The ambulances’ glasses are completely armored. Wheels are filled with a filling material. It is able to head 30 kilometers after an explosion. There are a main stretcher and the main stretcher platform. There is a companion sitting group for 3 individuals based on the right side of the patient cabin. Under the companion sitting group, there is a decent area in order to store the materials. There are a cupboard and an oxygen system on the left side of the patient cabin; defibrillator, ventilator, and a vacuum aspirator on the patient’s head part.


Armored vehicle engines’ capacity is over at least 4000cc. It is preferred diesel engines commonly. The spare tire, based under the vehicle, is ripped from the ambulance.

The armored ambulance wheels are covered with a composite filler. The material, used in order to armor the vehicle, can be made from ballistic steel or composite material. There is a field stretcher, consisting of 6 or 8 handles, in order to intervene in injuries in the conflict area. It enables an injured person to be reached to the ambulance instantly.

The armored ambulances’ internal surfaces are white; cupboard coverings are white or blue. The armored ambulances’ external covering is formed from reflected material. It can be executed military camouflage in case it is asked for.

Toyota Land Cruiser Armored ambulances’ production time that depends on the equipment can be 4-6 weeks. There is a portable ventilator device in the ambulance in order to use it in the field. This device enables using out of the ambulance provided an external portable tube is used. There is a defibrillator device with a monitor in the armored ambulance. This device has 6 hours duration of use on the condition that it is charged fully. The armored ambulance doesn’t need maintenance after it is manufactured. It is sufficient to make periodic maintenance of the vehicle.

The Armored Ambulance Cabinet System

The cabinet system is constructed from 3 different components. The first part is locked cabinets, which have 3 or 4 sections. The locks of the cabinets are designed as not opening while the vehicles’ shaky travel. The second part is allocated for medical bags.  These bags are bound with a belt or strap system in order to prevent bags to slide due to the shakes results from the vehicle. There is a doctor seat in the middle of both of the components. There is a cabinet in order to allow to reach the vehicle panel system on the backside of the seat.

The Cabinet of Medical Materials

It is fastened on the left side wall, next to the separator main divider. The cabinet consists of 2 drawers and 4 or 5 chambers. There is an adjustable neck collar, inflatable hotel, corpse bag, burn set, birth set, and animation bag in these chambers.

The Cabinet of Medical Devices

It is located in the left wall of the ambulance, near the doctors’ seat. These devices are based in the nearest place to the head part of the patient.  This facilitates the doctor to intervene. There are a portable defibrillator and portable ventilator devices in the top of the cabinet. Also, there is a vacuum aspirator in the bottom of the cabinet. There is a suitable area in the cabinet in order to allow the devices to work easily. Also, there are 12v and 220v socket outputs, fed from the vehicles’ second battery. In addition, there are two explicit oxygen socket outputs that are necessary for working of the ventilator and vacuum aspirator. It is situated two serum hangers on the ceiling of the vehicle. This apparatus based over the ambulance stretcher, parallel to the chest area of the patient.


The patient platform of the ambulance is designed in order to minimize the effect of shaking, made by the ambulance, that the patient feels. Also, the design of the platform enables to move the patient easily in the ambulance cabin owing to pedals based on the sides. It is manufactured from stainless aluminum. It has a stainless aluminum ramp which enables to lay the patient to the ambulance easily.

The Oxygen System of the Armored Ambulance

It is created by connecting two aluminum tubes, one of them is the main the other one is a replacement. It is located two pressure reducer manometer on each tube. One of these manometer shows low pressure; on the other hand, the other one shows high pressure. Oxygen pressure can be reduced up to 4.5 bar owing to the system of oxygen pressure reducer.

There are 2 or 3 oxygen gas outlet sockets, that are English or French type, and irreversible flow valve oxygen sockets, that are proper for En737-1 norms in the ambulance. Jack input recesses are colored specially and produced from ABS coated brass material.

The Bottom Covering of the Patient Compartment

The bottom is covered with one-piece MDF material on the ambulance armored surface. This covering’s over is covered with epoxy resin material which is antibacterial and be washed.

The External Covering of the Armored Ambulance

the composite coating and ballistic steel, used out of the ambulance, can be made resistant against B6, B7, and RPG-7 guns and explosives if it is requested.

The whole external area, the engine, subframe, top, bottom, and the windows of the ambulance have been armored at least B6 or B7 ballistic level. The vehicles’ external armor is resistant against a long-barreled weapon, pipe type explosives, grenades, and plastic type explosives on the condition considering used weapon, distance, and angle difference.

The Windows of the Armored Ambulance

The whole glasses used for the ambulance covering is produced from polycarbonate or compressed glass fiber wool material. The durability of polycarbonate glasses is extremely high, resistant, and light compared with normal glasses. Additional ultraviolet filters are implemented to the glass that is used. People looking out of the ambulance can’t see inside of it; on the contrary, people looking from inside the ambulance can see the outside easily. Also, these filters prevent glass to scatter in case there is destruction on the glasses. These glasses aren’t spalling even the vehicle gets hit. This prevents staff in the vehicle from being injured. Additional firing ranges can be added inside of the back door in case it is asked. By these ranges, it can be fired with long-barreled weapons in order to protection and prevention.

The whole components

The whole components belonging to the vehicle, including the seats, are removed out before the ambulance transforms into armored. First of all, it is installed to the bottom of the vehicle that base sheet, made from ballistic steel and having at least 15 mm thickness. Inner surfaces of the doors, under part of the engine, all of the vehicle masts, gearbox bits are armored. Just the arc welding process is constructed among the armoring process. It is not used bolt, nut or rivet in the ambulance unless there is a need for them. The whole area, including gearbox, is amalgamated with welding.
